VHDL Training

  Course Content
VHDL Training VHDL, a VHSIC (very high speed integrated circuit) is a hardware description language which is used to describe digital signal systems such as integrated circuits, and is used in electronic design automation. VHDL are very important sub domain of VLSI, and form the part of front end.

Some of the basic features of VHDL TRAINING are:
1. Used to define behaviour and structure of digital hardware electronic system.
2. Used for conventional digital circuits as well.
3. Defined by Language Reference Manual (LRM).
4. VHDL is an international standard language regulated by IEEE.

The two main kinds of tool that operate on VHDL language are simulation and synthesis. It allows design to be represented in any method- such as top to bottom, from middle etc.
The development of VHDL was done by US department of Defence, in order to register the behaviour of ASIC. The initial version of VHDL which was designed according to IEEE standard 1076-1987 which contained a wide range of data types including numerical, logical, character and time.

Timeline of Revisions:
First standardized revision of version 7.2: 1076-1987
Minor Revisions( introduction of protected types):1076-2000
Minor Revisions(Rules with regard to buffer ports) : 1076-2002
Major Revision released ( introduction of external signals): 1076-2008
VLSI as an industry is highly rewarding for students who have good grasp of the concepts and performing ability. The students trained in VHDL are in huge demand in India or abroad. According to the industry experts and joint report of India Semiconductor Association (ISA) and Ernst and Young, the semiconductor industry is expected to grow at 17.4% to reach around $10billion in 2014.`

There is a huge demand for skilled engineers to develop field programmable field array (FPGA), Application specific Integrated circuits (ASIC) and SOCs, so it becomes quite obvious that students should foray their career in this industry and get exposed to patent filing, invention disclosures, and applied research.
In order to command the VHDL language, students can prefer to learn through certain proven steps. The most important thing to keep in mind is to have basic knowledge of Digital Electronics, so that moving further in depth of the language becomes easy. Students should learn the specifications of VHDL so as to get the brief idea, followed by learning the VHDL code and then the techniques of simulation is necessary to learn optimally.

Students should also require some skills like:
  1. Good logical thinking.
  2. Think out of the box.
  3. Should have passion to learn.
  4. Motivation to research on the topic.
VHDL Training
CETPA is the best training company in “high end technologies”. It has a rich experience of igniting minds of the students for 12 long years. When it comes to the matter of providing VHDL training (a part of VLSI), the company has grown by leaps and bounds. The trainers at CETPA provide exposure and practice to students in algorithms section, in addition to the basic digital electronic concepts. The company has well developed labs for VHDL training which provides FPGA/CPLD hardware kit, and provides specialized attention to all the students. The VHDL Training at CETPA is a step by step method in which students master the three steps of Specification, VHDL coding and simulation. In addition to all these the company does have some features of VHDL training which is worth mentioning. Some of them are:

• The VHDL training course content is thoroughly revised with latest upgraded improvements so that students may lead the race.
• Trainers are highly committed in transforming students into true professionals.
• The labs are well developed with latest equipment’s.
• Students get a good learning environment, as students from eminent engineering colleges enrol for training program.
Internet is a great source of information and knowledge in addition to books and help from trainers. But the forums are an important way to enhance the capabilities and knowledge with the help of discussions with intellectual brains from across the web. Here are some of the links which can help the individual in gaining access to vital discussions around the web related to VHDL Training.

Students should follow the philosophy of “constant learning” in order to generate interest and a good grasp on the language.
The application of VLSI is used in Product companies, EDA companies, Design service Industry, and the companies using it are Intel, Cadence, Synopsys, Xilinx, Free scale, QUALCOMM. These are some of the prominent companies which provide job opportunities to budding engineers. These companies provide immense growth rate and well research and development labs which can give proper exposure to imaginative and practical oriented mind.
CETPA is well known for the placements offered to students in various companies. It has a well established placement and consultancy wing which gives good exposure to students to top companies. It gives the students the value for money and develops their career optimally.

This is just the brief description, for more details students can visit the link:
The students of CETPA finds themselves in highly conducive environment of learning. The feedback from students is a invaluable source of motivation for CETPA to deliver high quality of training. Some of the feedbacks from the students are:

Prithviraj Sinha, NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh

“When it is CETPA its got to be a good combination of theory and practical implementation. Ability to work in groups gives us brief idea of the industrial environment that we would be helpful after leaving college. Lab Instructors and faculty are excellent. The Live project modules offered gives us a smell of work in industry. Over all its a matter of great pride to be a part of CETPA."

Isha Jindal, NIT, Punjab

“It was a good experience of getting training at CETPA. The experts, the labs everything was very good. I feel very comfortable at the company and learning was a memorable experience here. The placement procedure is also good."
